With good organization it is possible to be much more productive and
be better paid across the board. Filling requests for newades (needs/wants/desires:
I need transportation, I want a car, I desire a Ferrari) would be much
like contract work where a specific quantity would be calculated and the
number of people needed and their requisite abilities would be estimated.
This would be posted and known to all. People finishing up a run
of another product (or perhaps the same product) could then sign up for
the jobs/skills needed for the new "contract".
Total value of all jobs would be dynamically figured based on the aggregate
net increase in wealth, measured in terms of what was created by all work
done, how much that increase fulfilled people's registered intensity of
need/want/desire for all newades made and how the work done increased future
capacity of production.
The relative value range for the jobs associated with making a newade would be established by intensity of demand for that newade. Needs would automatically get a higher value than wants, which would in turn get more value than desires. If all people chose to work a 10 hour work week, the resultant "total value pie" would be pretty small and would be commandeered mostly by needs. As people in general chose to work more there would be more and more value available to devote to wants and desires.
Value of work of any particular person in a specific job would be established
by a combination of peer review - who else would be better to judge how
well any one person performed - and actual product produced. An exception
here is artisanry, which would be valued by those who purchased the art.
